With her senior year nearly underway, I met up with Georgia and her dog, Crash, for a little exploration of Times Beach Nature Preserve and Wilkeson Point. They have such a great connection, and both were incredibly photogenic!

[Maggie Rose]
Within the flurry of photoshoots I have done in the last week, there was Maggie Rose. A senior at Buffalo Seminary, she is a creative and vibrant young woman who plans on studying video in college. She was super fun to work with and was very free-spirited throughout the shoot...I loved that she could envision the ideas I had, and she was a natural in how she carried herself- no doubt having a filmmaker's eye. We first met up at the Historical Society and and then went down to Wilkeson Point in the outer harbor, as she rows crew for Sem and is happiest when she's near the water.

[jordan]
The family and I traveled to the remote parts of Alden to meet up with Jordan and his family (our friends Parrish and Karen) for his less than typical senior portrait session....it really had much more of a album cover shoot instead, which is so much more fun. We took a few typical yearbook headshots, and then Jordan changed things up. It seems that Jordan was not the musical sort of kid in his previous years, but Guitar Hero changed all of that. Not only does he have a beautiful guitar, but he plays it just as well.
Jordan's grandparents own this charming house on a manmade lake in Alden...it was like going camping in the Adirondacks, without the bears....Parrish took me out on the electric boat to get some of these shots...
A little bit grainy, but I really like it...I'm having fun using some new lightroom presets.
