[adam and kelly]

It is amazing how quickly time passes when you measure it against the growth of a child. 15 years ago, Adam was at my wedding along with his handsome brothers, and here in 2015 I got to photograph his wedding, with my own children in attendance.  Watching Adam grow up, he always had a keen eye for art, thanks to his mom and one of my best friends, Connie.  When I arrived at his apartment, he had everything artfully laid out for me to capture.

And Kelly did an amazing job of coordinating everything as well, right down to the groom's gift.

The reception was to be held at the Foundry, which I cannot even believe was ever a furniture warehouse.  The bridal party was staying here as well, so I was able to check out three of the rooms. So much exposed brick, and lots of living space within, I could move in tomorrow. And, as a bonus there were a number of Peter Fowler and Gary Kite paintings, available to buy.  Peter is one of my very favorite Buffalo artists.

Kelly's suite was perfect for getting ready for a wedding, both for the space and the light...

As of the night before, torrential rain was predicted for the entire wedding day, which threatened their planned ceremony at the Delaware Park Rose Garden.  But good Karma came along and gave them an amazing chance to have their ceremony at the Burchfield Penney instead.

My favorite rainy day location to shoot is City Hall, so we headed there for a brief bit.

The wind proved to be a bit too much, so we ended up back at the Foundry.

The reception space was amazing!  And even more incredible was the fact that Adam and Kelly booked it before the building was complete.

[tim and johanna]

On the 11th, I got to hang out with one of my favorite families once again, this time for Tim and Johanna's wedding.  Tim is the last of his clan to get hitched, and boy was it a party!  Tim, of course is Andrew's brother, Jeff and Julie's friend and even connected to like 4 other weddings that I have photographed over the past few years.  It's like playing 6 degrees of separation, and I love it knowing that I get to spend my days being with some of the happiest and most fun people in Buffalo.  Johanna is no exception, I don't think she ever stopped smiling the entire day.

EVEN when she was breathing her last breaths before the dress is all the way tightened....

Tim and Johanna chose to keep it small, with their siblings as their bridal party...

Do you recognize the dapper boy on the right?  Yep, that's Mack! (He's Tim's nephew.)

I loved how emotional Johanna's dad was throughout the day, while Johanna simply beamed.

Their reception was at the Burchfield Penney, and again they kept is simple- a yummy stations dinner and fantastic little desserts...It allowed everyone to be really relaxed and sociable (until the dancing, of course.)

A little loving from Chuck (Burchfield, that is..)

Andrew gave the best man toast, and he was hilarious and spot on.  Must have been his speech notes:

Once the dancing was underway, the energy never relented.  Nik and the Nice Guys performed- they are by far one of the best wedding bands I have yet to see.  EVERYONE was out dancing til midnight.  Recognize Julie and Jeff?
