[by the way...]

I'm sporting a newish website.  My blog will serve as my main site, as I update it fairly regularly.  Modernphotographie.com will remain up and running for a bit as well, but if you want to check out my Zenfolio site, click here.  This is the site where my clients have the opportunity to see all of their images and share them as well as order products from one of my favorite companies, Mpix.com.  Not to mention there's a spiffy song!

On the 11th, I got to hang out with one of my favorite families once again, this time for Tim and Johanna's wedding.  Tim is the last of his clan to get hitched, and boy was it a party!  Tim, of course is Andrew's brother, Jeff and Julie's friend and even connected to like 4 other weddings that I have photographed over the past few years.  It's like playing 6 degrees of separation, and I love it knowing that I get to spend my days being with some of the happiest and most fun people in Buffalo.  Johanna is no exception, I don't think she ever stopped smiling the entire day.

Do you recognize the dapper boy on the right?  Yep, that's Mack! (He's Tim's nephew.)

I loved how emotional Johanna's dad was throughout the day, while Johanna simply beamed.

Their reception was at the Burchfield Penney, and again they kept is simple- a yummy stations dinner and fantastic little desserts...It allowed everyone to be really relaxed and sociable (until the dancing, of course.)

Once the dancing was underway, the energy never relented.  Nik and the Nice Guys performed- they are by far one of the best wedding bands I have yet to see.  EVERYONE was out dancing til midnight.  Recognize Julie and Jeff?

Even a little broken glass didn't interrupt the action....Mop Limbo, anyone?

[holly at 6 months]

Back in May you may remember the pure adorableness of Holly, whom I photographed when she was just three months.  Well, now she's all grown up, wants to be a vet, and is sporting two new teeth.  Ok, I know, she isn't growing THAT fast, but she definitely has changed a lot in just three months.  We went to the zoo for her first trip to see all of the animals and it was an experience!
We began at the Giraffe Encounter- for $5 you have the opportunity to get in nice and tight with a giraffe and feed it while the zookeeper talks about their habits and so forth.  We got to feed AJ.  I thought Holly might be a little scared, but she loved every minute of it!















Next, we headed over to the rain forest, probably my personal favorite.  There was  large stick nest made by the Spoonbills with a fuzzy little pink baby hanging out at the edge.

All in all it was a great day, and I look forward to more playdates with Holly!
